If you would like to make a work assignment in the Social Village Manas, but you cannot make this as a volunteer social year (FSJ) financed by the “Freunde” (see volunteer services at www.freunde-waldorf.de), you can contact our Förderverein Manas. We will check if an application is possible. It is very advantageous if you have at least basic knowledge of the Russian language. Please note that Kyrgyzstan is not “first world”. Life in the Social Village Manas is not a “holiday camp”. But the residents are always happy about the exchange with other people and will receive you very warmly. The Social Village Manas is dependent on donations and support from Germany – a paid internship is therefore not possible.

Young people from Germany, who want to make a voluntary social year (FSJ) in the Social Village Manas in Kyrgyzstan, are very welcome. Already some volunteers have been there and have made an invaluable contribution for the residents. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan is a relatively safe and very hospitable country, with a rich and varied culture, aside from the well known travelling trails. If you are interested in volunteering in the social village Manas, you can apply for the “Freunde”. They are one of the sending organizations that implement the Welwtärts program of the BMZ. Www.freunde-waldorf.de Weltwärts is a learning service. You can improve your language skills, gain work experience and acquire intercultural skills. These allow you to meet people from another culture on the same level. Whether after school, with completed apprenticeship or after graduation, in the Social Village Manas you can spend an unforgettable year abroad and at the same time make a valuable contribution to the project. The SES provides interested people with the opportunity to pass on their knowledge and advice to others abroad and thus make an important contribution to the development of initiatives and solve problems. As a senior expert you promote e.g. the training and further education of our employees, or help to build up and further develop a new work area.
